Yes. The island’s only land access is the bridge from Cypress Road in Oakley, and our crews reach it from our base in Livermore. We plan Bethel Island visits so the work gets done in one trip: our gutter forming machine rides on the truck, so seamless runs are made in your driveway, and cleaning and repairs are finished the same visit when possible.
Well away from the house. Most of the island sits below sea level, and on level ground roof water tends to pool at the foundation instead of running off. We extend downspouts to a spot where water can soak in or drain away, or connect them to an underground line, and we pitch the gutters so each outlet carries its share of the roof.
Once a year in fall, before the rains, works for most homes, with a spring visit if large trees or eucalyptus hang over the roof. The nearest NOAA station averages about 12.6 inches of rain a year, but most of it falls between November and March, so a clogged gutter in winter overflows quickly.
