The BroGuard warranty, read for a Tri-Valley roofline
Two promises sit behind every BroGuard install: a lifetime warranty on the mesh itself and a twenty year guarantee that the trough stays clear. Here is what each one binds BroGuard to, and why the clog promise carries extra weight under the oaks and pines of the East Bay hills.
Why the clog promise matters more in the San Ramon Valley
A typical guard warranty promises the guard will not fall apart. It says nothing about whether water still reaches the downspout, and nothing about who answers the phone once the crew is gone.
BroGuard splits the promise in two. The stainless micro-mesh is warranted for life against manufacturing defects, and the job it does is guaranteed for twenty years: if the trough clogs, BroGuard replaces the failing section or refunds the material cost. When we install it together with new seamless gutters, the full system is covered by a Limited Lifetime Warranty, and the people you call are the Livermore team that put it up.
NOAA’s 1991 to 2020 climate normals for the Mt. Diablo Junction station, in the hills between Danville and Walnut Creek, put average yearly precipitation at 26.05 inches, and 15.04 inches of that comes in December, January and February alone. Summer records almost nothing: July averages a hundredth of an inch. Oak leaves and pine needles pile up for half a year, then an atmospheric river asks the gutter to move a winter’s worth of water in a matter of days.
That is also the fire side of the story. The State Fire Marshal’s 2025 Local Responsibility Area map, dated March 24, 2025, places parts of San Ramon in High and Moderate fire hazard severity zones and parts of neighboring Danville in Very High. Dry oak litter in an open trough is fuel in October and a dam in January. BroGuard is non-combustible metal mesh that keeps both problems off the roofline, and the twenty year guarantee is what makes it a one-time purchase.
What BroGuard actually promises, word for word
The four blocks below are BroGuard’s warranty language, copied exactly. We did not shorten or soften any of it, because what protects you is the binding text, not a contractor’s summary of it.
BroGuard Premier provides a 20-YEAR PERFORMANCE WARRANTY, which guarantees that BroGuard Premier will keep the interior of your gutters from clogging if installed to our factory specifications, and we substantiate this with a money back guarantee. BroGuard will, at its sole discretion, either replace any failing area of the BroGuard Premier system with a new or reconditioned insert that returns the guard to its original operational standard; or refund you 100% of the BroGuard Premier product material cost. Labor and/or installer shipping costs not included.
BroGuard provides a LIFETIME MATERIAL DEFECTS WARRANTY for BroGuard Premier. All products will be free from factory material defects that occur during the manufacturing process. If a product is found to have a manufacturer defect, BroGuard will repair or replace the defective part(s) at no charge. We guarantee that the finished product will not chip, bubble or flake under normal conditions of wear. Our warranty is limited to the terms, exclusions, limitations, requirements and legal rights stated within this warranty.
In the event you sell your home, the balance of the warranty will transfer to the new owner. Change of Ownership forms can be obtained by contacting our corporate headquarters.
The above-mentioned warranties are void if any of the following apply:
- Damage caused to product from any outside force, natural or accidental
- Performance failures due to improper installation
- Damage during installation
- Natural wear caused by weather or other unique environmental conditions
- Damage caused by chemicals
- Improper use of product other than that intended by manufacturer
- Removal of product
- Contact with dissimilar materials
- Insert clogging due to unnatural occurrences, including but not limited to, tampering with or introducing a foreign element to the mesh, such as paint, caulk, adhesive, etc
Warranty questions from Tri-Valley homeowners
No. Neither the performance warranty nor the material warranty covers fire, and you should be wary of any gutter guard that claims otherwise. What BroGuard adds on a San Ramon home is non-combustible metal mesh that keeps dry oak leaves and pine needles out of the trough, with the mesh warranted for life against manufacturing defects and the trough guaranteed for twenty years not to clog. Removing the fuel is the protection, and the warranty keeps that protection in place.
That depends on the install. If BroGuard goes on with a new seamless gutter system from The Brothers That Just Do Gutters, the full system carries a Limited Lifetime Warranty. If it goes on the gutters you already have, you get BroGuard’s twenty year no-clog performance guarantee and its lifetime material defects warranty.
It guarantees that BroGuard Premier, installed to factory specifications, keeps the inside of your gutters from clogging. If a section fails, BroGuard chooses either to swap in a new or reconditioned insert that restores original performance, or to refund 100 percent of the BroGuard Premier material cost. Labor and installer shipping costs are not part of it. It covers the product doing its job, not ongoing service visits.
Yes, under normal wear. BroGuard guarantees the finished product will not chip, bubble or flake, as part of the lifetime material defects warranty. That matters inland, where a long dry summer is followed by a wet core of winter that averages 15.04 inches from December through February at NOAA’s Mt. Diablo Junction station.
The warranty reads the same in any zone. What the map should change is what sits on your roofline. The State Fire Marshal’s 2025 Local Responsibility Area map classifies parts of San Ramon as High or Moderate hazard and parts of Danville as Very High. If your gutters carry plastic or vinyl guards, replacing them with non-combustible metal mesh is the first step, and BroGuard’s warranty means that step only has to be done once.
Outside forces, natural or accidental, that damage the product. Performance problems from improper installation, and damage done during installation. Chemical damage. Using the product for something other than its intended purpose. Removing it. Contact with dissimilar materials. Natural wear from weather or unusual environmental conditions. Clogging from tampering or foreign material in the mesh, such as paint, caulk or adhesive, so tell your painter about the mesh before the trim gets redone.
Yes. Whatever balance remains passes to the new owner, and BroGuard’s corporate headquarters supplies the Change of Ownership forms. For a seller in San Ramon or Danville, that gives a buyer a written, transferable warranty on the gutter protection that comes with the house.
Call the local team at (925) 905-9555, Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Mohammad Awadalla and Syed Rizwan run the franchise from Livermore, and a BroGuard install paired with our new seamless gutters is covered end to end by one Limited Lifetime Warranty, so a single number handles it.
